Adventure are a series of courses introduced in 3D World, starring the titular Captain Toad as he goes through puzzle-based areas to obtain Green Stars. In these courses, Captain Toad is a playable character, and he cannot jumping or use every other move that Mario and his friends can use including (With some as unlockables.) He also starts with two lives, but he can restore to his big size by collecting a Mushroom. If Toad is defeated, one life is lost. The courses have an unlockable multiplayer and can be played when using the GamePad, & all other controllers 2 date R unlockable. The courses are default from the start, but Enemy Blockades or general map environments can make them inaccessible. The courses are also available on every odd-numbered world, including Castle, Star and Crown, (except Flower.) The courses end when all of the Green Stars present are collected. This concept was later used to develop a game entitled Treasure Tracker.
